11/16/2022 – ROYAL CARIBBEAN and Port Miami have reached an estimated $2.8 billion deal to extend their lease there for another 50 years. A brand new Terminal G will be dedicated to Royal and Celebrity, while a planned 2028 terminal will be shared with MSC. 11/16/2022 – CELEBRITY CRUISES has announced that unvaccinated passengers do not have to test before departure. They announced that effective November 2, all travelers will no longer be required to provide proof of pre-departure testing, except for specific sailings where vaccination, testing, or certain precautions are required by law. These destinations include Bermuda, Galapagos Islands, Turks & Caicos, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Haiti, Honduras, and Australia as well as transatlantic and transpacific voyages. Royal Caribbean and MSC no longer require testing for unvaccinated sailors, and Virgin Voyages has announced plans to follow suit.
